Peritoneal mesothelioma occurs in the lining of the abdominal cavity, such as the peritoneum and pericardial mesothelioma of the pericardium, which is of the heart known.

A person may be at risk of developing mesothelioma when exposed to asbestos at work or at home. Mesothelioma is caused by asbestos exposure and inhalation of asbestos particles. In most cases, the symptoms of mesothelioma occurred is not exposed in an individual exposed to asbestos occur until many years after exposure. Those with a past history of asbestos symptoms you should consult a physician experienced in the accurate diagnosis of mesothelioma.
